The Commissioner is required to publish a report each year that details information and statistics in relation to complaints and the outcome of those complaints (as outlined in section 27 of the Judicial Conduct Commissioner Act 2015 (JCC Act)). Annual Reports will be found on the publications page.
The Commissioner must also provide the Attorney-General with specified information about the exercise of the Commissioner’s functions under the JCC Act if requested to do so by the Attorney-General.
An independent reviewer is appointed to undertake an annual review of the Commissioner’s exercise of powers, to ensure those powers were exercised in an appropriate manner.
The independent reviewer can also receive complaints from members of the public relating to an abuse of power, impropriety or other misconduct on the part of the Commissioner. The role of the reviewer is not to review the decisions of the Commissioner in relation to the outcome of a complaint.
When the Judicial Conduct Commissioner is the same person as the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption, they are subject to this review.
For further information about the role of the reviewer, you can visit their website: https://www.icacreviewer.sa.gov.au/
Complaints can be made to the reviewer by downloading and completing the complaint form on the reviewer's website and sending it via email to email@example.com, or by mailing it to The Reviewer, GPO Box 2371, Adelaide SA 5001.
